Breaking: Ekweremadu after 7 hrs, still in EFCC’s custody

The Deputy Senate President, Dr Ike Ekweremadu who allegedly came to the office of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday Morning (10:am), is currently answering questions on corruption and abuse of office.
Premium Times had confirmed through various sources the authenticity of the lawmakers’ appearance at EFCC’s office and had confirmed the hours spent by the lawmaker.

“He is currently at the interrogation room,” a source told the media. Another EFCC staff also said Mr Ekweremadu is with anti-graft detectives, but could not say when he would be released.
“We have some questions for him bordering on corruption,” a source said. “But we do not know yet when he would be released, we will know this by 5:00 p.m”, said Premium Times.
Recall that EFCC, DSS and Police had besieged the house of Ekweremadu last week. Ekweremadu who condemned the act via his facebook handle warned the presidency to desist from further intimidation of lawmakers.
